Lahore : Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has condemned interim Prime Minister’s statement regarding the abolition of articles 62 and 63 of the constitution and announced strong resistance against the move.
Speaking at a reference in memory of renowned journalist Sharif Farooq at Abasin Arts Council, in Peshawar on Tuesday, he further said that nobody would be allowed to harm the Pakistan ideology and the constitution.
Siraj ul Haq paid rich tributes to Sharif Farooq, the great writer and intellectual who had penned the biography of the Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Continuing, Siraj ul Haq said that the country’s rulers and the bureaucracy were a greater threat to the country as compared to the foreign powers.
He said the JI had from the very beginning, striving for the Islamic system in the country as the solution of all our problems lay there. He said the JI was trying to put forth a neat and clean leadership in the next elections as would come up to the articles 62 and 63.
Siraj ul Haq said the actual problem was that the constitution of the country was not being implemented in true spirit. He said the constitution ensured the rights of the masses and the Islamic system.
He said the nation had got good news from the Supreme Court and more such news would be coming soon. He said that as a result of JI campaign against corruption, the country’s Prime Minister had been in the dock and had been disqualified.
