Opposition parties to nominate a joint candidate for PM : Liaqat Baloch

Lahore : Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has impressed upon the opposition parties to nominate a joint candidate for the office of Prime Minister through mutual consultation in order to maintain unity against the government. He was addressing the central office bearers of the JI at Mansoora on Monday.

He however said that the JI had nominated its parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Sahibzada Tariqullah for the PM slot.

Liaqat Baloch said that the JI was against hereditary politics as the high command of any political party should not remain in the hands of a single family and the people should not made slaves of any family.

He said that the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif had given a hope to the masses and it appeared that the country would now have the same law for the powerful and the weak.

He said the Sharif family failed to give the money trail of their wealth but now they were trying to mislead the masses through varying statements.
