COAS Batchmate Capt Arif Nawaz appointed IGP

Lahore : Federal government has appointed Capt ( R ) Arif Nawaz as a provincial police chief of Punjab. A notification has been issued in this regard. According to the notification, capt Arif Nawaz will serve as  Inspector General of police in his own pay & scale .

Newly appointed IGP Arif Nawaz had served Army before joining the police in 1986 .COAS General Qamar Javaid Bajwa  was his Batchmate in army and they have cordial relations.He is the officer of 14th common.

Punjab Police new chief has assumed the charge of his new assignment and has started work.

ARIF Nawaz Khan born on  28/08/1961 had passed  graduation.
He has attended Senior Management Course in Turkey, Advance Management Course-90, NIPA Lahore (2006), 95th NMC Lahore (2011/12).
He served in/as: ASP Multan, Lodhran, Pakpattan and Ferozwala, SP City, Gujranwala, SP Rajanpur, SSP Chakwal, SSP Dera Ismail Khan and DPO Bahawalpur, has also served in Special Branch KPK, Special Branch and CID Punjab, DIG Admin: Faisalabad and DIG Training Punjab, Lahore, DIG, HQrs Balochistan and RPO,Quetta.
