Lahore : Chief Traffic Officer Lahore SSP Rai Ijaz Ahmad held a meeting regarding Automated Number Plate Reading System, E-Challaning and E-Licensing at Punjab Safe City Authority.
SSP Punjab Safe City Authority Nasir Akbar Khan, representatives of Customs, Excise and concerned departments were present on the occasion. Automated Number Plate Reading System, E-Challaning and E-Licensing were discussed in the meeting.
CTO Rai Ijaz Ahmad said on the occasion that working regarding Automated Number Plate Reading System is about to finish and soon this project will be launched in the city.
City Traffic Police Lahore is taking very important measures to improve traffic system with the collaboration of its allied departments i.e. Punjab Safe City Authority, PITB, Excise Deptt. TEPA, TEVTA and other concerned departments, through these measures citizens will be able to get the best transport facilities on the roads and reach their destination without any difficulty. As the revolutionary measures are being taken in the sectors of Punjab Police with the help of information technology, the same way various projects are going on to improve the flow of traffic in the city, with the help of information technology.
SSP Punjab Safe City Nasir Akbar Khan said on the occasion that the cameras of safe city, installed on roads, will be able to read the number plates of vehicles after launching Automated Number Plate Reading System and challans will be sent to the driver’s postal address through these cameras, also. 90% working is completed regarding this project and this project will be launched soon.
The city’s traffic system can be greatly improved by implementing the measures, discussed today.
