Lahore Traffic Police to follow Turkish model to improve traffic system

Lahore : Chief Traffic Officer Lahore SSP Rai Ijaz Ahmad said that City Traffic Police Lahore is utilizing all its resources to improve traffic system and the services of Turkish Traffic Officers will bring further improvement in traffic system in Lahore and Punjab.

He expressed his views in his office today in a meeting with the four member delegation of the Islamic Republic of Turkey. The delegation was consisted of Naim Karatepe, Bekir Celen, Abdurrahman Evmez and Muslum Apaydin.

CTO Rai Ijaz briefed the delegation about the administrative structure, existing resources and reforms in City Traffic Police Lahore and he said on the occasion that the Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has taken historical measures to improve traffic system in Punjab especially in Lahore and through this masses are utilizing best transport facilities and traffic system is also improved.

Turkey and Turkish National Police played its primary and vital role and provided special support in modern reforms in Lahore and Punjab Police, as a result, it not only concludes traditional Thana culture but providence of justice was also ensured to the common man on priority basis , he added.

CTO maintained that I hope the services of Turkish delegation will further improve the traffic system in Lahore and Punjab.

Turkish delegation members said that we are thankful to the CTO for best welcome. We are doing work on traffic reforms officially and collecting basic information. Officers of City Traffic Police Lahore are cooperating with us and we have collected all the basic data of City Traffic Police Lahore.

In the coming days, all the information about engineering, regulation and other sectors will be taken by visiting Lahore city. Final recommendations will be sent to the higher authorities for approval. Pakistan’s people have welcomed us with an open heart, so we would be happy to serve the people of our brother Islamic country, Pakistan.
