Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : Three hour-appearance of Nawaz Sharif before Panama paper leaks JIT has been praised among people from all segments of society, Munir Ahmed resident of suburban village Lakhnewala said it shows great moral courage, integrity and respect for rule of law on the part of the PM who appeared voluntarily and without any protocol as a witness before the JIT comprising subordinate officers.
One Afzal who runs rickshaw to earn livelihood said that by offering himself for accountability, Nawaz Sharif have earned sympathies of the public in general. Will trial of single person who happened to be our PM end corruption from the country? Not at all, he said.
Expressing his opinion, he said our PM Nawaz Sharif was not named in Panama papers and he was just being victimized politically.
Other people in the city also expressed their sympathies for Nawaz Sharif and called for dropping charging against him in light of his statement made before the JIT.
He said politicians opposing him should wait for next elections when public will decide through their votes as to who is more honest and suitable person to run the country as PM.
