Lahore : Former Prime Minister Ch Shujaat Hussain has said that Pakistan should not make Afghanistan and Iran matter of honour and dishonor and rather move ahead, till now Nawaz Sharif as the foreign minister should have gone there and held detailed meetings with foreign ministers of both the countries, Nawaz Sharif should not consider himself as the prime minister but as the foreign minister should try to set the things right as the foreign minister at the earliest.
In a statement issued here today (Wednesday), he said that two months back he had warned that in-charge foreign affairs should himself go to Afghanistan and hold talks with President Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah-Abdullah for improving the situation.
Ch Shujat Hussain said that such time should not come that the ball slips out of hands then it will not be of any benefit, now the news has come that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has refused to come to Pakistan, ” despite this I will say that immediately Nawaz Sharif should reach Afghanistan without being invited like he calls Modi immediately, for country’s sake he should not make it a matter of his ego”.
He said he thinks that if circumstances with Afghanistan get worse then these be worst than India as well.
He said that occurrence of suicide attacks incidents in Iran are of great concern like reports have come about attacks on shrine of Imam Khomeini and the parliament.
