Handicapped women provided buffalos and cows under CM Punjab scheme

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : 36 handicapped women from Mandi Bahauddin and 19 from Hafizabad were provided buffalos and cows under CM Punjab special initiative to empower rural women on Thursday.

A ceremony in this connection was held at District Council Hall. Speaking on the occasion DC Shaukat Ali said CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif had introduced several initiatives to empower widows and handicapped women of rural areas.

Previously widows were given cattle and goats to improve their economy and under the present program handicapped women of rural area were being given high-yielding milk buffalos and cows.

These cattle’s market price he said was 13.7 million rupees. District Council Chairman Ghulam Hussain Bosal and Additional Director Live Stock Dr Mumtaz were present on the occasion.
