Police delay took the life of a kidnapped boy

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : Dead body of the boy was found with decapitated head six days after his disappearance from the house.

According to details six-year-old Arsalan Haider student of first class resident of suburban village Kandhawala went to bring yogurt from a shop located at short distance from his house.

When he did not return for an hour, his parents got worried. They started search of the boy but all in vain. They reported to Civil Line police but the SHO did not register case for three days.

Consequently the parent complained to DPO on whose order the SHO registered case and launched investigation.

The police arrested a fake spiritual healer Shah who during investigation admitted that he abducted the boy and took him to Khokharabad Jungle near Lalamusa where he committed sodomy with him and thereafter killed the boy and buried the dead body there. He led the police to the place from where police recovered the body with separated head.

After post mortem the dead body was handed over to the heirs who with co villagers placed the dead body on railway track and held protest against police for not registering and investigating the case in time. Running of trains remained suspended for five hours.

They said had the case been registered and investigated in time life of the boy would have been saved. Police, railway authorities and notables of the city arrived and they ensured the villagers that the culprit would severely be punished for the heinous crime he had committed.

They expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved family and assure them their full cooperation and support.
