Lahore : Three new medical universities would be set up in Punjab , these universities would prove a milestone in promoting medical education in Punjab.
Kh. Salman Rafiq in a statement said that new medical universities, medical colleges, new hospitals and specialized healthcare institutions which have been constructed during the present regime are unique example of developments which had not been established in the last sixty years.
Kh. Salman Rafiq said that Rawalpindi Medical College and Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad were playing very effective role for promoting medical education and hoped that after getting status of medical universities, these institutions would further enhance their significant role in medical education, research and producing highly qualified professionals.
Minister Primary & Secondary Health Kh. Imran Nazir said that establishment of four medical colleges and five medical universities in a short period of time is a proof of Chief Minister’s passion towards strengthening of medical profession and promotion of medical education.
He said that Chief Minister wants to provide healthcare facilities and medical services of qualified and trained health professionals at the doorsteps of the people of Punjab and the setting up of new medical universities would play an effective role to complete this task.
