Drama and mime competitions start at Alhamra Cultural Complex

Lahore : Two days drama and mime competitions have started at Alhamra Cultural Complex under the aegis of Provincial Information & Culture Department which are being participated by the students of 10 prominent universities of the province.

On first day of the competition, groups of male and female students of Lahore College for Women University, Punjab University, Government College University Lahore, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, FC College University and National College of Arts entertained the audience by presenting dramas and mimes on topics of social, cultural problems of youth and politics.

Additional Secretary Information & Culture Department, Saman Rai while talking to the students said that Punjab government is providing a platform to young students for expressing their abilities under national action plan. She said that the aim of two days competitions is to highlight the sentiments of patriotism among young generation through drama and mime.

Executive Director PUKAR Ch. Muhammad Asif told that the purpose of holding drama and mime is to promote tolerance, harmony and accommodation among the youth.

Organizer Kashif Shah told that Information & Culture Department has provided a best platform to young artists to express their God gifted abilities.

On the second day of competitions, groups of University of Sargodha, UET, University of Agriculture, University of Gujrat, Punjab University and University of Animal Sciences will perform.
