Punjab University takes action against 4 more students

Lahore : The Punjab University administration on Monday took action against 4 more students involved in March 21 clash in front of Institute of Education and Research in the third phase.

According to PU spokesman Khuram Shahzad, the university has suspended 4 students and issued charge-sheet to them, seeking their reply in 7 days. He said these students include Punjab University Law College’s Muhammad Usman, Hailey College of Commerce’s Bilal Zahoor, Institute of Administrative Sciences Amir Mushtaq and Institute of Education & Research’s Rahat Ali was issued charge sheet, he added.

The spokesman said that the university administration had initiated disciplinary proceedings against the students involved in the incident indiscriminately without any pressure. He said further that the administration would not adopt biased attitude towards any student.

He said that the administration was taking action against students as per rules and regulations who had been identified on the basis of evidences.
