Lahore : Punjab University and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, Ghanzhou, China will jointly work on various research projects in the fields of engineering, environment and economics as per incumbent administration’s vision to promote bilateral relations with foreign universities.
In this regard, A 32-member PU delegation, headed by Director PU Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization Prof Dr Tahir Jamil is visiting China’s Jiangsu University, as PU VC Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir did not go to China because of current security situation at PU.
The delegation consists of teachers and students from Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, College of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Department of Economics selected on merit. According to a press release issued here on Sunday, the PU delegates called on Jiangxi University of Science and Technology’s President.
The meeting decided to launch teachers and students exchange program between the two universities. The meeting also discussed to jointly work on different research projects in engineering, environment and economics and share knowledge and experience.
In a press statement, Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir said that collaboration with international universities would improve PU ranking and promote quality research in PU. The delegation departed on March 23 and will return on March 29.
