French delegation visits Punjab University,calls on VC

Lahore : A delegation of senior Professors from various French Universities and representatives of Campus France the French National Agency for the promotion of Higher Education, International Student Services and International Mobility called on Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zafar Mueen Nasir at his office here on Tuesday.

PU Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, Dean Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences Prof Dr Zakria Zakir, Dean Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences Prof Dr Nasira Jabeen, Incharge Department of French Dr Saleha Nazir,Prof Ivan Rakocevic, Deputy Head of Asia Unit, Campus France, Prof Romanacce, deputy Vice Chancellor, Paris Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi,  Prof Pedron from School f Business, Rennes, France,  Madam Koning from Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Paris, Prof Dressen from Versailles University, Paris and other delegates were present on the occasion.

The meeting discussed various possibilities for future academic collaboration especially in the disciplines of Business Management, Social Sciences & Humanities were.

The delegation also visited PU Library followed by the visit of French Department and met teachers and students of French. This visit was organized by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in connection with the celebration of “French Day” this week.

The main objective of this visit was to promote awareness of French Higher Education System and Academic collaboration at institutional level among Pakistani and French universities.

The prospects of doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships besides joint research collaboration through PERIDOT program were also shared. This program is fully funded by HEC and the French government.
