Bilal Yasin visit to restaurants and food factories in Multan

Lahore : Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin has paid surprise visit to various eateries, restaurants and food manufacturing factories in Multan.

Bilal Yasin has ordered to seal Rehmat Food and Oil producing factory and combination restaurant here at Multan. He ordered to fine one lakh rupees to Shangrila Bakers and Restaurant over poor cleanliness situation and unhygienic condition.

Bilal Yasin ordered to arrest owner of the Oil producing factory. In the factory in unhygienic condition nimko, chips and slanti were being prepared therein unhealthy oil. The ingredients and products used in this process were expired and the owners were running this business without any registration from Food Department.

Minister also paid visits to Pizza hut, Gilghisht and Gloria Jeans restaurants and also issued them notices to improve the cleanliness situation. Minister also visited SM Food factory situated in Jail Road Multan where he inspected the quality of oil and cream  and examined the medical staff of their staff.

At this occasion, Minister Bilal Yasin while talking to media has said that Punjab government will not allow to anyone to play with the lives and health of public. He said that those involved in selling of unhygienic and expired food items will be dealt with iron hands. He appreciated the working of Punjab Food Authority and said that Chief Minister is happy with the working Punjab Food Authority.

Punjab government will soon establish the offices of Food Authority in 17 districts of the province. He said that Chief Minister himself monitoring the performance of Food Authority. In near future the network of Food Authority will spread to Bahawalpur, DG Khan and other far flung areas of the province.

Bilal Yasin said that Food Department will register all the food manufacturing factories across the province. Deputy Commissioner Multan Nadir Chattha, Deputy Director Food Authority Ijaz Nawaz and other officials were accompanied the Minister.
