CTD gundown 6 terrorist including 2 involved in Gulshan Iqbal Park carnage

Lahore : CTD Lahore Team was taking 02 terrorists/ accused of Gulshan Park Blast for recovery in Sheikhupura. At about 10 pm on 6 January, near Factory Area Sheikhupura, 7/8 terrorists attacked the CTD officials & freed 02 terrorists and escaped from the scene.

The CTD Team Lahore informed CTD Team Sheikhupura about the incident.

The CTD Team Sheikhupura put up Nakabandi on Bypass Sheikhupura. They got information that that some terrorists had entered under-construction Sabzi Mandi, Bypass Sheikhupura. CTD Team Sheikhupura raided that place at 12:30 am tonight.

The terrorists took refuge there. The CTD Team challenged them to surrender. Instead, the terrorists started firing at the CTD officials. The officials took cover & saved themselves. Firing continued for some time.
When firing stopped, 06 terrorists were found dead killed by firing of their accomplices. While 3/4 terrorists escaped from scene taking benefit of darkness.
02 terrorists were identified as Shahidullah & Khanzaib who had earlier escaped from CTD custody at 10 pm. Other terrorists are being identified.

Recoveries include a Kalashnikov rifle, 01 rifle , 02 pistols, ammunition, 02 motorcycle, etc. Investigation has been launched.
