3rd Edition of Women Weightlifting will be started tomorrow at Railway stadium

Lahore : 3^rd Edition of  Women Weightlifting will be inaugurated tomorrow at Railway stadium, Garhi Shahu, Lahore at 11 am.

All team has been arrived and Managers meeting was held at 3 PM and athlete’s verification was done.

Women Weightlifters from Army, Baluchistan, Islamabad, KPK, Punjab,  Sindh, Railways and WAPDA  will lifting weight in 48, 53, 58 and 63 Kg tomorrow ( 04 January) starting from 11 am.

President Pakistan Railways Sports Board Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Awan ( General Manager Services/ Welfare Pakistan Railways) will inaugurate the 3^Rd National Women Weightlifting Championships on 04^th January.

General Manager Railways Javaid Anwar Bobak will be the guest of honour of closing ceremony on 5^th January at 3 pm and will distribute medals and winners trophy to winners.

A very tough competition in 48 Kg, 53 Kg, 69 and 75 Kg is expected and Saneha Ghafoor ( 58 Kg) from Railways and Neelam Riaz (63 Kg) from WAPDA are expected to lift weight to establish new National Records in their respective body weight categories.

Altogether 56 Women weightlifters are lifting weights for the top honors during these two days mega event of Women Weightlifting

Pakistan Railways Sports Board is the host of this year’s National Women weightlifting with the collaboration of Pakistan Weightlifting Federation.

A great no of new National records are expected to be established during this championships.
