Lahore : The Director General Emergency Services Gilgit Baltistan Dr. Sher Aziz visited the Emergency Services Academy to review the ongoing training of rescuers and instructors hailing from Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Balochistan, KPK and Punjab.
He has also visited the ongoing international training of enhancing emergency response in Pakistan. This international training is being conducted for four weeks with the funding of USAID and international instructors from Nepal.
The DG 1122 GB Dr. Sher Aziz has acknowledged the services of DG Emergency Services Academy Brig (R) Amir Hamza. He also said that the ESA has transformed into a national center of excellence under the command of Brig (R) Amir Hamza.
Dr. Sher Aziz praised the professional training imparted to the rescuer hailing from the northern areas. The training proved the motto of ESA “excellence through professionalism”, he further added.
The DG Emergency Services Academy Brig (R) Amir Hamza informed the guests that a large number of rescuers from all areas of Pakistan including GB, KPK, Balochistan and AJK besides Punjab are undertraining at ESA. He also briefed that the ESA has trained over 17000 rescuers for GB, AJK, KPK, Sindh, Balochistan besides Punjab on the special instructions of the Chief Minister Punjab MianShahbaz Sharif.
Brig (R) Amir Hamza said that this sustainable human resource development is based on international guidelines beside focusing on their discipline and grooming for serving humanity keeping in view the welfare of emergency staff and instructors.
