Health Department seals Kings Pharmaceutical at Sundar Industrial Estate

Lahore : A raiding team of Health Department conducted a raid on Kings Pharmaceutical at Sundar Industrial Estate Multan Road and seized a huge quantity of raw material purchased illegally as well as manufactured medicines. Large scale violation of goods manufacturing practice was also detected in the factory.

The raiding party also took notice of different prices of medicines of the same batch and confiscated printed material. An officer of the raiding team told that extremely low quality and unhygienic water was being used and cleanliness arrangements were unsatisfactory. Action was taken against the factory owners under different sections of Drug Act 1976 and the factory was sealed.

Later, Minister for Primary & Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir also reached the spot and appreciated the performance of the raiding team. He said that the elements involved in the heinous trade of substandard and spurious medicines will not be spared and the operation against this evil business will be continued till its complete elimination.
