Lahore : Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs, Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that Punjab government has decided to set up in “Christmas Bazaars” in different locations of the province from December 22nd so as to facilitate Christian community in their preparations for fourth-coming Christmas.
He disclosed this in a meeting while issuing directions to the concerned officers of the Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Department, here today.
Khalil Tahir Sandhu directed the concerned officers to ensure foolproof security arrangements of these Christmas Bazaars along with provision of related facilities to the consumers.
The Minister said that quality goods and commodities at these Christmas Bazaars would be provided at comparatively cheaper rates to the Christian community. He further said that the authorities have been issued directions to provide foolproof security to the Churches on Christmas eve on December 24 and December 26, as well. Federal Minister for Water & Power has also been requested to declare Christmas eve from December 24th to 26th as load shedding free so that Christian community can enjoy this festival enthusiastically.
