A delegation of Punjab Body Building Association calls on DG Sports Punjab

Lahore : A delegation of Punjab Body Building Association headed by world fame bodybuilder Yahya Butt called on Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman here at his office in Hockey Stadium,Lahore.

The DG Sports Punjab lauded the services of Yahya Butt in the field of Bodybuilding and assured that Sports board Punjab would extend all out cooperation for the promotion of the game.

Meanwhile ; Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman has expressed grief and sorrow on the sad demise of Olympian Akhlaq Ahmed and Dr Abdul Qadir Khan, former Director General Health Punjab. Olympian Akhlaq Ahmed passed away after losing his battle with cancer at the CMH Hospital in Lahore. He was part of Pakistan hockey team which won bronze at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.

Zulfiqar Ahmad Ghumman also commended the services of Dr Abdul Qadir Khan in the field of heath. “The great services rendered by Dr Abdul Qadir Khan will be remembered for long time,” he said.

In his condolence message, Director General Sports Punjab conveyed his heartfelt and sincere sympathies to the members of the bereaved families and prayed that the departed souls may rest in eternal peace.  He prayed to Almighty Allah to shower His blessings upon the departed souls and grant courage to the family members to bear this immense loss with equanimity and fortitude.
