LDA to arrange grande auction of properties tomorrow

Lahore : Grand auction of properties by Lahore Development Authority will be held tomorrow (on Saturday 26^thNovember 2016).

Besides residential and commercial plots of various housing schemes, tenancy rights of a rooftop restaurant at Moon Market Allama Iqbal Town and a marquee site at Civic Centre, Township, will be auctioned at this occasion.

Site for setting up biggest rooftop restaurant in the city, covering more than 27000 square feet area, will be rented out for a period of 10 years by LDA and the successful bidder will avail the facility of first six months’ rent-free use of site.

Meanwhile ; During its operation against illegal constructions, staff of the Town Planning Wing of LDA demolished two buildings at plot No 22 and 23 of a private housing scheme, Gulshan-e-Mustafa, near Johar Town on Thursday. The LDA staff was fired upon with weapons by the owner of the said building but the operation was completed despite all odds.

Recovery directorate of Lahore Development Authority sealed two residential buildings on account of their illegal commercial use. A mechanical workshop at plot No 559-1-C 1 quaid-e-Azam Town and a car workshop at plot No ½ H, Gulberg III were sealed during the operation.

LDA has cautioned the public to beware of the impersonators who introduced themselves as LDA officials with the aim to extort money by harassing them.  People must demand for official identity card from such person and in case of suspicion should inform police or relevant director LDA on telephone number 042-99262385.
