Lahore : Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb Sunday visited the residence of late Jehangir Badar , Azhar Hussain Jafri and A Nayyar to condole the death with their families. She prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to their families to bear the loss with fortitude.
She paid tribute to Jahangir Badar services for the democracy and political system, she said that Mr Badr was a senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Marriyum said late Jahangir Badar, was
a name of political ideology. Not only the PPP workers but also those of other parties could take guidance from his life, she added.
Talking to the family of Azhar Jafri , Marriyum Aurangzeb expressed her condolence on the sad demise of the photographer and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the deceased in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family.
Later, while talking to the media, she said an exhibition of the photographs produced by the late Jaferi would be organised soon to pay tribute to the deceased. “I visited the Jaferi family on the direction of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif,” she said.
Marriyum Aurangzeb visited the residence of the late singer A Nayyar for offering condolence to
his family. She expressed her grief with the wife and brother of the deceased. She termed A Nayyar an asset of the country and said that the vacuum created by his demise would not be filled for long.
She said the singer was a symbol of inspiration for the new generation as he earned a name in the singing when no channel existed other than Pakistan Television.She said that the government would provide all-out support to the family of the deceased.
