Lahore : Govt. has released Rs. 25 million for District Teaching Hospital to provide latest health amenities to the ailing community of Sargodha and its adjacent districts.
While chairing Administrative Committee of District Teaching Hospital, Commissioner Sargodha Division, Nadeem Mehboob expressed that Teaching Hospital is the lone one to provide modern facilities to a mammoth rush of patients. He said that more and more novelty is being extended to ease the visitors and patients including seating, shadow and clean drinking water arrangements.
He disclosed that an elevator and 300 chairs with the support of Friends group are also being provided to the hospital. He also disclosed that round the clock ambulance facility in Mola Bakhsh Hospital is being supplied for the patients. He further said staff requirements of the hospital are also being catered and the number of guards is being enhanced to 30.
The building of Mola Bakhsh including shades and separate nursery ward would also be completed shortly, he added.
On the point earmarked by Dr. Nadia Aziz MPA about crowded counters, commissioner vowed to increase the number of counter-handlers.
Similarly, number of statures and wheel chairs would also be increased to facilitate the disabled and aged patients. Meeting also discussed hurdles hindered in the provision of Ultra sound machines, MRI and etc. matters.
On this occasion, MS. DHQ Teaching Hospital Pervaiz Haider briefed the house and revealed that the emergency of Hospital is being shifted at ground floor within next few weeks. He also told that pathology facilities are also being arranged for the patients on slash rates with the collaboration of University of Sargodha.
