DPO Mandi Bahauddin claims to arrest the murderer of 12 persons

Mandi Bahauddin( Sher Gondal) :  DPO Mandi Bahauddin Umar Salamat has claimed arrest of a murderer of 12 persons.

Talking to press conference participants he said four years ago Saifullah with his accomplices in police uniform kidnapped five people from a village Chak Alam in precincts of Mian gondal Police and took them to a deserted place where they were shot dead.

After the occurrence the accused fled away.  Tracing the culprits continued and recently on a tip police party arrested him in a successful raid in Chiniot area.

During investigation the accused disclosed murdering of 15 more persons in districts of Hafizabad, Chiniot and Mandi Bahauddin. Further investigations revealed that accused Saif was wanted in fifteen more different cases of murder and dacoity registered with various police stations.

In these cases Saif accused had been declared proclaimed offender.

Regarding police recent achievement, he said a few days ago Phalia police arrested a gang of five thieves who were involved in motor bike lifting. Police during investigation recovered 13 motorcycles from their positions and booked them under the law.

Talking about law and order situation in the district, the DPO said police was not leaving any stone unturned to deal with offenders and violators of law. Police posts had been reactivated where police personals are equipped with latest modern weapons and wireless equipment and they are capable of dealing any difficult situations.

Side by side police is being made public friendly and corruption free and in this respect he asked media to point out misconduct of police in performance of its duties for enabling him to take action against delinquents. He said crackdown against anti social elements was continuing as a proactive approach to control crime. Dens of gamblers, drug pushers and land grabbers were being targeted.

A watch is being kept on gypsies camps to find out suspicious elements.
