Hailey College of Commerce organized debate competition

Lahore : Hailey College of Commerce has organized debate competition among students of the college in connection with Iqbal Day.

Principal HCC Prof Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. The students highlighted various concepts presented by the Poet of the East in his poetry. Specifically, the debaters threw light on the concept of “Shaheen” while connecting it with today’s role of youth. They said that Iqbal had also pointed out importance of religion in politics.

Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam said that today’s youth is not aware of philosophy of “Khudi” and they must try to understand Allama Iqbal’s this concept.

Later, prizes were distributed among position holders.
