Inter-School, College Games Women Hockey Championship kicks off in Lahore

Lahore : Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman, on Tuesday, inaugurated the 7th Inter-School, College Games Women Hockey Championship at National Hockey Stadium. Eight teams are participating in the competition that will continue till November 3, 2016.

Punjab Women Hockey Wing President Tanzeela Amir Cheema and other officials warmly received Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ghumman upon reaching the stadium.

DG SBP Zulfiqar Ghumman, on this occasion said, Sports Board Punjab, as per vision of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, is taking all possible measures for the promotion of sports in the province.

According to schedule, both the semifinals and 3^rd/4^th position match will be played on November 2 while the final encounter will be played on November 3, 2016.

Following are the participating teams in the Inter-School, College Games Hockey Championship: Kinnaird College, Wahdat Road College, Baghbanpura College, Fatima Jinnah College Choona Mandi, Queen Merry College, Adabistan-e-Soophia, Lahore College and Kulliyat-ul-Banat College.
