Lahore : Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan, Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman visited the Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control and Communication Centre, Lahore.
He congratulated members of the Authority and Government of the Punjab for establishing a state of the art Command & Control Centre. He emphasized that the scope and scale of this project is enormous and one of its kind and that all provinces must learn and take such initiatives to reduce crime and counter terrorism.
SSP Akbar Nasir Khan, Chief Operating Officer, Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) briefed the participants about the PPIC3 Project. He elaborated that installation of state of the art technology and high definition IPNV system ensures uninterrupted and high quality surveillance of the city.
DIG Malik Ali Aamir, Managing Director, PSCA acknowledged the support and cooperation by all departments of the Punjab Government for execution of the project in record time. He also mentioned that Chief Minister Punjab desires the expansion of Command and Control Centres to other cities of Punjab and in this regard PC-1s have already been shared with the Planning & Development Department Punjab for approval.
MD PSCA appreciated the efforts of the Government of Gilgit Baltistan in establishing a command & control centre for the city of Gilgit.
