Lahore : A 51-member Chinese delegation from Pak-China Friendship Car Rally on Tuesday visited the
historical sites in the provincial metropolis and appreciated rich heritage of the country.
First the delegation visited Mazar-e-Iqbal and paid homage to great poet of the East Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The delegation then visited the Badshahi Mosque,as well as Lahore Fort and lauded the architectural finesse of Mughal era buildings.The administration of Badshahi Mosque briefed the delegates about the architectural features of these sites.
During the visit,the delegates were chanting slogans such as “Pak-China Dosti Zindabad”.The rally aims to highlight the significance of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Some delegation members said that mutual exchange of delegation would be beneficial as it would further strengthen and promote cooperation and relations between the two countries.
They said China-Pak friendship was based on mutual trust and shared interests,adding China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC)would bring benefits to all the people of Pakistan.
It may be mentioned here that Pak-China Friendship Car Rally,originating from China’s Xinjiang region,entered the city on Monday while travelling on Motorway.
