Board of revenue punjabLahore : Board of Revenue (BoR) has directed the revenue officers of the entire province to decide revenue cases of overseas Pakistanis in three hearings. They have also been asked to furnish reports on monthly basis to the BoR.

This was decided in a meeting which held between Commissioner, Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC), Punjab Afzaal Bhatti and Senior Member BoR, Jawwad Rafique Malik here at latter’s office today. Director General OPC Muhammad Hassan Iqbal, Director Revenue Ishrat Niazi and officers of OPC & BoR were also present in the meeting.

At the outset, Afzaal Bhatti conveyed the concern of expatriate communities that performance of revenue officers of certain districts is unsatisfactory. SMBR issued the instructions that field officers must submit monthly reports about decisions of revenue  cases of overseas Pakistanis to the BoR; so as to ascertain the total number of decided cases every month. The meeting also held detailed review of a few pending cases of overseas Pakistanis in revenue courts; while the Senior Member issued necessary instructions regarding decision of such cases.

Commissioner OPC thanked the SMBR and hoped that proactive support of the BoR would facilitate the expatriate Pakistanis.
