Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif went to the house of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed in Faisalabad who was martyred in unprovoked firing of Indian forces on Line of Control. He met the parents and the family of the Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed and sympathized with them.
The Chief Minister also went to the local graveyard at Hajveri Town, Sargodha Road and laid a wreath at the grave of the Shaheed and offered Fateha. He announced to upgrade the local school and name it after Shaheed Imtiaz Ahmad.
Paying tributes to courage and bravery of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed, Shahbaz Sharif said that he has set a noble example by sacrificing his life in the defense of the country and the whole nation is proud of him. He said that Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed and Hawaldar Juma Khan Shaheed are heroes of Pakistani nation. He said that no one dare cast an evil eye on Pakistan in the presence of such brave sons as Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed.
He said that Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed is an asset and pride of Pak Army as well as the whole nation. He said that the supreme sacrifice of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed will not go to waste and Kashmiris will win freedom.
Shahbaz Sharif said that he salutes the courage of the elderly parents of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed. He said that Pakistani nation as well as Punjab government is with the family of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed and he will do everything possible for the daughters of the martyr.
Talking to media, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan is passing through a critical phase and there is a need for national unity and solidarity. He said that it is time to promote harmony instead of chaos and anarchy. He said that those who are promoting confusion and conflict in the Pakistani nation are betraying the blood of the martyrs.
