Law enforcing agencies to remain alert on Eid ul Azha : Shahbaz Sharif

cm-meeting-law-orderLahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high level meeting to review security arrangements being made for the protection of life and property of people on Eid ul Azha, here today in which police and law enforcement civil agencies were directed to remain fully vigilant.

The Chief Minister said that foolproof security plan evolved for safeguarding the life and property of the masses should be implemented at all costs. Present unprecedented situation demands extraordinary steps, he added.

He said that Cabinet Committee on Law & Order should not only ensure implementation of security plan but also keep a vigilant eye on the situation and all will have to perform their duties in a vibrant manner for foiling nefarious designs of the enemy.

He said that the law of ban on loudspeaker should strictly be implemented and indiscriminate action be continued against those delivering provocative speeches. He said that strict legal action should be taken against those involved in one-wheeling.

Inspector General Police Punjab while giving briefing informed that more than 54 thousand police officials will perform duty for the protection of life and property of the people on Eid ul Azha and Eid gatherings and important places will be monitored through CCTV cameras. He said that all out steps are being taken for the protection of life and property of the masses.

Special Assistant Rana Maqbool Ahmed, Chief Secretary, Inspector General Police, Secretary Home, Commissioner Lahore Division and concerned officials were present on the occasion. Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah participated in the meeting through video link from Faisalabad while MPA Jahangir Khanzada from Attock.
