PHF women XI played a goalless draw against Sports Board Punjab XI

Lahore : Sports Board Punjab and Pakistan Hockey Federation women wing organized a Defence Day exhibition women hockey match here at the National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday,

The match was held to express solidarity with Pakistan Army for their sacrifices for the motherland. PHF women XI played a goalless draw against Sports Board Punjab XI with both the teams showing greater defence on this Defence Day. Tanzeela Amir Cheema, PHF Secretary Women Wing was the chief guest on the occasion and both the teams were introduced to her before the start of the play.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that if the spirit of September 6 1965 is adopted in sports then Pakistan can beat the best of best teams of the world. Both the teams played good hockey and got several scoring chances but each team’s defence prevented their rivals moves.

Later the chief guest distributed prizes among both the teams and officials while the organizing team comprises Rahat Khan, Chand Perveen, Mohammad sajid, Mohammad Qaiser. Later words of special were bestowed upon Deputy Director Sports Tariq Wattoo and Assistant Director Rana Nadeem Anjum for making excellent arrangement for holding the match.
