Principal LGH focused target of 100 percent cleanliness

Lahore : Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Prof. Ghias Un Nabi Tayyab has said that 100 percent cleanliness at LGH is his focused target which would be achieved through a feedback based mechanism ensuring preparation of daily based data about staff attendance, sanitary situation, medical facilities and condition of medical equipment.

He directed the hospital administration to further
activate anti-dengue campaign so as to thwart the threat of return of
dengue fever in the wake of recent rains. He also directed the staff
posted at dengue counters and Outdoor Patients Department to keep alert round the clock to receive dengue patients any time.

Prof. Tayyab issued these instructions during a meeting held
here in connection to review the preparations to tackle dengue. The
in-charge doctors of all the departments gave detailed briefing to the
principal on this occasion.

The principal said that in order to improve the performance of the hospital, it has been divided into separate administrative blocks being supervised by administrative doctors who would be held responsible in case of any irregularity in their blocks. He also said that health sector is major priority of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and all possible resources are being utilized to facilitate patients and their attendants in the government hospitals.
