Lahore : Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman’s advisor Dr Yasmin Rashid has said the metro and orange line train in Lahore have bankrupted all public institutions in Punjab. She said the rulers were even diverting funds allocated for education, health and other public welfare sectors. This is a grave injustice to the masses, she added.
Talking to party workers’ delegations at her office on Sunday, she said the Punjab government was ruining public institutions to fulfill its desires. She regretted that the incumbent Punjab rulers spent over Rs 200 billion on one metro train project and deprived masses of funds to be used for the betterment of their health and education. She said the PTI would continue raising its voice against injustices being committed against masses.
Dr Yasmin Rashid stressed that the Supreme Court of Pakistan and National Accountability Bureau should take notice of corruption worth billions of rupees and recover public money as well as punish the corrupt and looters. She regretted that the rulers were pushing the country into the quagmire of crisis instead of driving it out of crisis. She stressed that masses should join hands with the PTI to hold the corrupt rulers accountable.
