Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal ) : A newly-wed couple died of gas suffocation in Kuthiala Syedan, a village on outskirts of Mandi city. According to police, 35-year-old Shahbaz and 30-year-old bride, who were married on Sunday, were killed due to suffocation from gas leakage from a power generator.
The couple was found dead at their residence in wee hours of Monday morning. Frequent power outages have forced people to use gas operated generators for running electric fans and other household electronic equipment. At night when the people are asleep such incidents do take place claiming precious lives of inhabitants.
