Lahore : Dr. Muhammad Kazem Sajjadpour, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, visited the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) recently along with his team as regards mutual academic collaboration and was received by Talib Karim, Rector, IoBM. Also present on this occasion was Shahjehan Karim, President, IoBM. This visit was organized by Karachi Foreign Relations Committee (KFCR) in coordination with the Entrepreneurship and Management Excellence Center (EMEC), IoBM.
Iranian delegation, headed by Dr. Muhammad Kazem Sajjadpour, is visiting Pakistan for the 13th Round of Bilateral Dialogue between Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) and the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI). The Deputy Foreign Minister is also from Academia and looking after the Ministry of Research.
An interactive session was held between Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran and IoBM Deans, HoDs and faculty members. They explored the possibility of mutual collaboration in teaching and research, including the initiation at IoBM of Persian language course.
IoBM is already pursuing international academic and cultural cooperation especially with such foreign language courses as French, German, Arabic, and Italian.
Present on this occasion was also Mr. Shahid Amin, who had been Pakistan’s ambassador to several countries and who is currently pursuing teaching and literary work at IoBM. IoBM has already published his book on “A concise history of Pakistan”. Mr. Shahid Amin is also writing a book on Pakistan’s relations with Iran as Dr. Muhammad Kazem Sajjadpour assured him of providing access to Iranian academia and concerned foreign ministry contacts in this regard.
