Development projects will end the politics of opposition : Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that government of Muslim League-N believes in selfless service to the people and the aim of politics of PML-N is public service and progress and prosperity of the country. He said that elected government is working round the clock for resolving the problems of the masses and a lot of work has been done for the improvement of every sector during the last three years. However, some political elements once again are trying to create hurdles in public welfare projects only for the sake of their vested interests, he added.

Shahbaz Sharif said that defeated political elements are again out to stop speedy development process of the country through container politics. He said that the nation has become aware of these elements that they have no interest with the welfare of the masses.

The Chief Minister said that now when the country has been put on the road to progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, some political elements have again come out to create hurdles in the way of development.

Shahbaz Sharif said that conscious people of Pakistan were not hoodwinked earlier nor will be hoodwinked in future by these political elements. He said that decisions are not made on roads but in the parliament in democratic era.  Despite negative politics of sit-in and chaos, the mission of public service will be fulfilled at every cost, he added.

The Chief Minister while talking to elected representatives of Pakistan Muslim League-N said that all out resources are being spent transparently on programmes of progress and prosperity of the people and provision of basic facilities to them.

He said that PML-N government has introduced the culture of completion of development projects with transparency, quality and speed and a third party audit has been made compulsory in this regard which has resulted in the promotion of transparency in the implementation of the projects. Mega projects have been completed in education, health, infrastructure and other sectors of social development throughout the province and people are benefitting from them, he added.

Shahbaz Sharif said that a number of programmes are continuing successfully for the welfare of poor segments of the society and provision of relief to the poor families. He said that PML-N government will come up to the expectations of the people and honour all the promises made to them.

The Chief Minister said that federal and Punjab governments have set new tradition by saving billions of rupees in development projects, which is unprecedented in the history of the country. He said that round the clock work is being carried out on Orange Line Metro Project in the Provincial Metropolis Lahore and this project will be exemplary. Completion of this project will result in availability of modern travelling facilities of international standard to the masses, he added.

The Chief Minister said that some political opponents are scared of development projects continuing for the welfare of the people. He said these elements are afraid of that with the completion of ongoing development projects their politics will end. He said that pivot of PML-N government is service to the people and timely completion of development projects. No effort will be spared in the execution of these projects, he added.

Those indulging in politics of protest will never succeed in their futile efforts and Pakistan will continue to progress.
