Dr. Ehsan Sadiq bags love & respect and leave Bahawalpur

Lahore : Regional Police Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehsan Sadiq has said that enlighten dreams revitalize the intrinsic socio civilizational inner fabric which boost both individual and societal psycho spiritual urge to have a Tryst with destiny which pave the way for an egalitarian society. So, we must nourish lofty dreams and a holistic civilizational Endeavour to keep alive the dreams for better tomorrow. He made these remarks as a Chief Guest at a farewell dinner which was hosted on the eve of his transfer by District Police Officer Bahawalpur Sarfraz Ahmad Falki at police lines Bahawalpur.

The ceremony was attended by DPO Bahawalnagar, DPO Rahim Yar Khan, DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwar Mahaar, Prominent intellectual Syed Tabish Alwari, Principal Quaid-e- Azam Medical College Bahawalpur Professor Dr. Haroon Khursheed Pasha, Chairman CPLC Dr. Rana Tariq, prominent intellectual Habibullah Bhutta, Director Public Relations Rana Ijaz Mahmood, Chairman Social work department Islamia University Bahawalpur Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Additional Commissioner Co-ordination Saqib Ali Ateel, Dr.Munir Azhar and a large number of officers and officials of Police, Army and civil departments.

Keep aloft the banner of progressive and liberal dreams which lead to formulate great visions which serve as intellectual guide to establish solid and tangible socio-economic policy framework which brings peace, progress and prosperity for the mankind, Dr. Ehsan Sadiq noted.

Regional Police Officer Dr. Ehsan Sadiq said that the modern era warrants a paradigm shift to have a community policing which may mitigate the trust deficit between people and police, so it is imperative that through the instruments of Citizen Police liaison committees and other interactive forums interaction between police and civil society should be institutionalized.

To turn the vision of community policing into a living reality certain initiatives were undertaken by the regional police Bahawalpur which include:- operationalization of Victim response officers in 72 police stations of the Bahawalpur region, revitalizing the CPLC Bahawalpur and operationalization of police hotline to ensure online access to the complainants in Bahawalpur region’s 3 districts, he maintained.

Dr. Ehsan Sadiq said that VROs through their commitment and dedication resolved thousands of cases through arbitration which discouraged the culture of mitigation and promoted peace and harmony at the local level. He said that it is encouraging that the lowest crime rate has been recorded during the current year which is the practical manifestation of the dedication and commitment of the police officers and officials to wipe out the menace of criminality in the region.

Bahawalpur region is the seat of great Sufi saints who spread the message of love and peace which is amply reflected in the individual behavior of the residents and the value system of the society at large. He paid rich tribute to the prominent personalities of Bahawalpur who have excelled in the fields of academia,art, literature and other fields. Dr. Ehsan Sadiq said that he would always cherish the wonderful moments which he spent in the company of poets, artists, intellectuals, academics and media persons of Bahawalpur.

Earlier, DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwar Mahaar, Principal Quaid Azam Medical College Professor Dr.Haroon Khursheed Pasha, DPO Bahawalpur Sarfraz Ahmad Falki, DPO Rahim Yar Khan, DPO Bahawalnagar,prominent intellectual Syed Tabish Alwari and Chairman CPLC Dr. Rana Tariq paid rich tribute to the outstanding services of the outgoing Regional Police Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehsan Sadiq.

Later, DPO Bahawalpur Sarfraz Ahmad Falki presented commemorative souvenir and commemorative shield to RPO Dr. Ehsan Sadiq.
