Lahore : Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Monday will present in the Envoys’ Conference his broader vision for the regional and global peace, besides his government’s endeavours for rapid development and prosperity of the country.
On the directives of the Prime Minister, a three-day Conference of Pakistani envoys in important capitals of the world as well as multilateral organizations will start on Monday.
At the conference, the Prime Minister will enunciate his vision for regional and global peace and Pakistan’s outreach to its neighbouring countries for regional stability and development. His broad vision would include his commitment and endeavours for putting the country on progressive and development path, engaging regional countries and international leadership for capitalising the investment potential of Pakistan in the backdrop of investment friendly policies of the government, improved law and order situation, curb on extremism and militancy a great deal as well as the vibrant human capital of the country ready to transform the country in future.
The Prime Minister would also elaborate his vision and milestones for making Pakistan energy self-sufficient through diversification of energy mix, said a press release of the PM Office media wing on Sunday.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would highlight his peace initiatives in the context of unfolding political events at regional as well as international level. He would refer to Pakistan’s future policy initiatives to significantly improve Pakistan’s exports and provision of an enabling environment to Pakistani diaspora so that they could contribute in the socio-economic uplift of the country as well as further improving the progressive and enlightened image of Pakistan in their respective countries.
The Prime Minister will highlight the immense potential of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects in terms of investment opportunities as well as reduction in unemployment and poverty; the opportunity that future economic zones would offer to the domestic as well as foreign investors. He would be highlighting Pakistan’s positive ratings certified by the established and credible international rating agencies as well as international leadership’s acknowledgement of Pakistan’s transparent policies in infrastructure development, energy and public welfare projects; the trust and confidence of international financial institutions as well as donor agencies on the robust economic growth and improved and sustainable economic outlook of Pakistan.
“The Prime Minister will particularly focus on sensitizing the international community about significant infrastructure development taking place in the country, particularly the motorway network comprising 13 motorways having Rs 1 trillion funds earmarked,” the press release added.
He would be directing the participating envoys to renew their efforts and work with devotion to sensitize the leadership as well as diverse communities of their respective countries of accreditation about all these developments and quests that were unique in the country’s history.
The Prime Minister will be entrusting the responsibilities to the envoys to effectively project the peaceful, progressive,economically vibrant and a responsible posture of Pakistan in light of the emerging scenario in the country under his vision that has already started yielding dividends socially, economically and politically.
