DPO Mandi Bahauddin Omer Farooq Salamat vows to make the city crimes free

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : Newly posted DPO Omer Farooq Salamat has vowed to make Mandi Bahauddin district police as the best in Punjab.

He was addressing a press conference held at his office the other day.

Listing about the measures being taken to curb crime, he said he would follow zero tolerance policy for land mafia, dacoits, drug pushers and criminal gangs in the district. Number of police mobiles would be increased and every mobile vehicle would be installed with GPS for locating its movement and location.Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras will be installed in all police stations to monitor police working and conduct of investigations. Friends-desks are also being established in police stations to change old police culture and inculcate people friendly atmosphere in police officials.

He said police would stand with the oppressed and the weak and for oppressors and criminals he would no leniency would be shown. Police is responsible for protection of life and property of citizens and he would ensure that police discharge this duty with due diligence and honesty. DSP Sadder and other police officers including District Information Officer were present on this occasion.
