The rulers have cheated people of all sectors : Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore :  Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said that N-League rulers have cheated the poor, farmers as well as people of all sectors, for common and poor man and their children there is neither education nor medicines, they are being given suicides only.

Addressing inaugural ceremony of Superior College in Wazirabad and talking to Media , he said that focus of our govt in Punjab was the poor and backward people of this country and their children for whom we had provided free education, books and medicines, given rescue service like 1122 but Shahbaz Sharif not only stopped our project for free education but also closed ten thousand schools of the poor and also tried to stop 1122 like rescue service while they had eaten their each project and scheme started with lot of hullah gullah.

Ch Pervaiz Elahi in his speech paid tributes to educational services of Professor Abdul Rehman and late Malik Mairaj Khalid and distributed the Best Teacher Awards.

Felicitating national cricket team on victory in the Lords Test, Ch Parvez Elahi said that the army training has showed its impact.

He said today every institution is going destruction, in Turkey the govt worked for the people, Tayyip Erdogan govt repaid all loans of the country but N-League govt has borrowed the maximum loans in the history of Pakistan.

He said till all political parties do not come together on one agenda nothing will be gained. Talking about Election Commission, he said that such members should be selected to the Election Commission who are capable and people also have confidence in them. He said the rulers and their colleagues are singing song of democracy all the time but their legs start shivering on seeing banners of the Army Chief, people are fed up with these rulers, people have been praying for their departure during Ramzanul Mubarik not only throughout Pakistan but also in Makkah and Medina Munawwara.

Ch Pervaiz Elahi said we had during our tenure made education popular, promoted the private sector, returned the nationalized institutions, given the rights of charter to the universities, established new universities, , 65 thousand schools were rehabilitated afresh, literacy rate was taken up which has again come down because we were making schools functional and they are closing down schools, we introduced traffic warden system and established patrolling posts, Shehbaz Sharif during these 8 years has not only closed down all our institutions but blocked all their funds also as a result of which every sector is facing deterioration. He said that funds for repairs and construction of protective embankments for controlling floods are also being utilized by them on jangla bus and train then floods have to come.

Speaking on the occasion, former provincial Education Minister Mian Imran Masud said that as the Provincial Education Minister he had granted status to more than 20 universities to build their own campuses, present govt has not been able to achieve the result in education field which we had achieved during tenure of Parvez Elahi govt tenure.

On this occasion, Khalid Mahmud Cheema, Hassan Nawaz, Professor Salim Mughul, Professor Suleman Iqbal, Bilal Mustafa Sheerazi, Hafiz Saeed Ahmad, Prof. Muhammad Riaz and Prof. Nabeelur Rahman were also present.

Afterwards,  Ch Pervaiz Elahi gave away the Best Teachers Awards to Bilal Ahmad Khan, Usman Ali, Ehtesham Liaquat, Prof Abu Bakr, Shehbaz Ahmad, Lubna Shehzad, Sumera Imran, Humera Mukhtar, Haji Ghulam Rasool, Abdul Waheed Akhtar, Shehbaz Rasool and Prof Muhammad Shafi.

Earlier on arrival for inauguration of the college, flower petals were showered on Ch Parvez Elahi. PML workers chanted slogans of long live Ch Shujat Hussain, Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi.
