Lahore : Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman’s advisor Dr Yasmin Rashid has said the PTI does not want to go for a solo flight while protesting against the rulers on roads, but working to muster up support of all opposition parties. If corruption will end in Pakistan, it will no more need to beg from the IMF, she said.
Talking to different party workers on Tuesday, Dr Yasmin Rashid said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would continue falling into the quagmire of corruption, if he would not allow his accountability first. She said every individual named in Panama Papers should face accountability process as nobody was above the law.
Dr Yasmin Rashid said the PTI was only demanding accountability and justice by probing Panama Papers leaks. “If the government will accept this simple demand of the opposition, it will not need to come out on roads and protest,” she said. However, if the PML-N remained stubborn to save Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from the accountability process, then the PTI would have no option but to stage protest demonstrations across the country along with all opposition parties. She said the PTI would continue protesting on roads till fair and transparent investigations into the Panama Papers would be launched.
Since the country is being governed in a manner of monarchism, she said the country and people were facing immense problems. She said it was high time that the country should be rescued from the rulers and their corruption and driven to the heights of prosperity and strength.
