The CM assures justice to the victim family of triple murder at Sabzi Mandi

The CM assures justice to the victim family of triple murder at Sabzi MandiLahore : A delegation of complainants in a triple murder case in Sabzi Mandi Ravi Road and traders met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today, and apprised him of the details of the incident.

The Chief Minister ordered immediate arrest of the three absconding accused involved in the case and said that it is lamentable that they are still at large despite passage of one month. He said that police should have worked in a professional manner and the three absconders should also have been nabbed like others.

He said that it was a heartrending and intolerable incident in a city like Lahore.

Shahbaz Sharif further said that police should have come into action immediately after the triple murder and arrest of the accused was its responsibility. He said that police should have taken action on the spot against the accused involved in firing, however, an inquiry will be conducted into the laxity shown into the matter and action will be taken against the guilty persons.

The Chief Minister directed authorities concerned to submit a report within 24 hours and warned that action will be taken against the negligent officials. He further directed to constitute a committee comprising best police officers to investigate the case and said that demands of justice should be fulfilled.

He said that he was deeply grieved at the murder of three persons and the culprits will not be able to escape punishment. He said that justice will be ensured to the aggrieved at any cost.

Shahbaz Sharif ordered to increase security in Sabzi Mandi and said that security should also be provided to the complainants. The meeting also offered Fateha for the victims.

Inspector General Police Punjab, CCPO Lahore, DIG Operations Lahore, DIG Investigation Lahore besides other police officials were present on the occasion.

Those who met the Chief Minister included Haji Muhammad Afzal, Haji Shabbir Ahmed, Haji Asghar, brother of deceased Haji Maqsood, Muhammad Usman and Shoaib Afzal. It may be mentioned that 13 accused have been arrested by police whereas raids are being conducted for apprehending three absconders.
