An open revolt is brewing in Punjab Police

Lahore : An open revolt is brewing in Punjab Police in reaction of the IGP orders to demote the rankers officers and making them OSD . The gunfighters of Punjab Police who served the department with setting examples of bravery,held their first meeting at Historical Badshahi Masjid,Lahore. Hundreds of ranker officers from all over the Punjab ,attended the meeting and made their Union for the first time in the history of the Country.

They have the opinion that while serving the nation ,they never bothered about their lives,The can give their lives and also can take life of others while performing their duty,but they can not fight with the seniors and can only pray for them ” May God bless them with mercy and a thought to take others as human beings”.

The veteran police officers have claimed that around 7 thousands officers enlisted their names to resign from the job,more officers are contacting them but they are seeing IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera to withdraw his decision, if this would not happened in next few days ,they would submit resignations.If IGP Mushtaq Sukhera was not ready to step back,he may announce the acceptance of resigns and paying dues with immediate effect,the senior most officers said.

Meanwhile, Lahore High Court has ordered to restore 8 OSD rankers officer including SSP Amjad Mehmood Qureshi and DSP Sarwar Awan. The officers pleaded that they could got their seniority by the orders of Apex Court but IGP has demoted them with other officers with the excuse of Supreme Court orders. The court bashed the IGP and order for their immediate restoration.
