Provincial Selection Board-II grant promotions to 11 senior officers

Lahore : 19^th meeting of Provincial Selection Board-II was held today at Civil Secretariat Lahore. Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Shumail Ahmad Khawaja presided over the PSB.

The board gave approval to grant proforma promotions to 11 senior officers belonging to different provincial departments from grade 18 to grade 19. While Principal Govt. College Gujranwala Saifullah Cheema has been accorded proforma promotion from grade 19 to grade 20 as Professor of Chemistry. Assistant Professor Geography Govt. Shalimar College, Shalimar Town Lahore Muhammad Ilyas Tahir has been given proforma promotion from grade 18 to grade 19. Associate Professor of Chemistry Govt. PG College for Women Kamoke Mrs. Tahira Zia, Associate professor of English Govt. College for Women Madina Town Faisalabad Mrs. Mumtaz Khalid, Associate Professor of History Govt. College for Women Khanpur Mrs. Shahida Ilyas and Associate Professor of English University of Education Bosin Road Multan Campus Mrs. Kausar Shaheen has also been accorded proforma promotion from grade 18 to grade 19. Retired senior Subject Specialist Govt. Higher Secondary School Hasilpur, Bahawalpur Muhammad Boota Rahber, Principal Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Tataypur Multan Mrs. Abida Jabeen and senior Subject Specialist Govt. College for Elementary Teachers Kot Lakhpat Lahore Mrs. Tanvir Kausar besides Superintending Engineer C&W Faisalabad Muhammad Sajid Akhtar have also been promoted to grade 19 on proforma promotion basis. The board deferred four cases to a sub-committee of the board for further meticulous analysis of the cases with the help of relevant documents.

During the first half of the current calendar year, 19 meetings of  PSB-II have been convened by the Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Shamail Ahmad Khawaja in these selection board meetings, more than 3500 promotion cases of grade 18 to grade 19 were considered. Out of these 2377 officers and teachers are being accorded promotion from grade 18 to grade 19 which is a record performance.
