New transfer policy for school teachers to be thrash out : Shamail Ahmad Kh

Lahore : A meeting of special cabinet committee to thrash out new transfer policy for certain deserving school teachers during the ban on transfers was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Shamail Ahmad Khawaja at Civil Secretariat today. Secretary Regulations Punjab Dr. Saleh Tahir and Special Secretary Schools Education Imran Sikandar among other members of the committee participated.

Additional Chief Secretary Shamail Ahmad Khawaja reviewed in detail the working papers prepared by the Schools Education Department to make it possible that newly promoted schools teachers, newly recruited schools teachers, teachers completing their active service beyond three years in a particular school, newly married female teachers, widows and divorced female teachers to get the transfer facility on compassionate grounds even during the ban imposed on general transfers of school teachers.

The committee formulated recommendations in this regard keeping in view the genuine difficulties of various categories of school teachers. It has been recommended that those female school teachers who fall in the wedlock policy or have become eligible for transfer due to divorce or sad demise of ones husband should be given opportunity to apply for their transfer from June 25 to July 20.
