Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has approved names of candidates of Pakistan Muslim League (N) for the upcoming elections of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
Nawaz Sharif, President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) was Chairman Parliamentary Board and approved the names after receiving a report based on recommendations of members of parliamentary board,sent by Secretary Coordination and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani, says a press release.
In a message to the candidates who got the tickets, the Prime Minister prayed for their success and said the nominated candidates of PML-N should go to the Kashmiri people with the manifesto of progress
and prosperity of Azad Kashmir and agenda of public service and good governance.
The Prime Minister said his top priority is to provide health,education, quality roads, modern infrastructure and clean drinking water to AJK and make the region a unique and modern tourist
destination.
These steps would also strengthen the Kashmir freedom movement,he said adding Inshallah, the nominated candidates of PML-N would win majority in the elections and bring progress and prosperity to Azad Kashmir.
The Prime Minister expressed best wishes for President PML-N AJK Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan and Senior Vice President PML-N Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan and said wisdom and political experience of the two leaders would play an important role in the success of the nominated candidates.
He said the party received a large number of applications which was reflective of its popularity.
He expressed the belief that those party colleagues who could not get tickets this time would show exemplary unity and solidarity and would run an effective campaign for the success of PML-N
candidates.
