Shahbaz Sharif pays a surprise visit to Ramzan Bazaar Township

Shahbaz Sharif pays a surprise visit to Ramzan Bazaar TownshipLahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, after returning to the country from London today, paid a surprise visit to Ramadan Bazaar Township , and reviewed prices and quality of fruits, vegetables, flour, sugar, chicken and other essential items.

On the demand of consumers present at Ramadan Bazaar, the Chief Minister announced that Ramadan Bazaars will remain open till 9:00pm instead of 6:00pm for the benefit of citizens. He appreciated the administration and concerned officers for making good arrangements in Ramadan Bazaars.

The Chief Minister also took notice of minor complaints of consumers and issued necessary instructions. On the demand of citizens, Shahbaz Sharif directed that besides one kilogram packets, pulses and gram flour should also be supplied in half kilogram packets.

In order to monitor supply of quality essential items to citizens at cheaper rates, the Chief Minister reached Ramadan Bazaar without prior information and district administration and Muslim League-N office-bearers also did not know about his visit.

ShahbazSharif reviewed prices of various items in Ramadan Bazaar and also inquired from the consumers about prices and quality of essential commodities. He went to different stalls and checked quality and prices of daily use items, fruits, vegetables, pulses, flour, sugar and chicken and talked to the citizens coming to Ramadan Bazaar for shopping.

He said that surprise visits help in better assessment of situation and gaining knowledge about problems of people. He said that he will continue to pay surprise visits to Ramadan Bazaars for providing relief to people in the real sense. He said that purpose of his visit was to review arrangements for providing relief to common man.

The Chief Minister said that quality of daily use items, fruits and vegetables in Ramadan Bazaar Township is satisfactory while prices are reasonable and the people visiting this bazaar have expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.

Shahbaz Sharif freely mingled with the people who had gathered around him. He shook hands and also talked to them. The persons present on the occasion raised slogans of ‘Shahbaz Sharif Zindabad’ and congratulated him on recovery of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Consumers also expressed satisfaction over quality and prices of daily use items in Ramadan Bazaar.

Talking to media, the Chief Minister said that he had returned to the country from London today and came to see the arrangements for providing relief to the people. He said that he is happy that arrangements in Ramadan Bazaar are satisfactory while quality of essential items, fruits and vegetables is good and their prices are reasonable. He said that with the blessings of Allah Almighty and the prayers of the nation, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is recovering and he will soon return to the country.

A large number of people termed the prices of food items as satisfactory and told the Chief Minister that cleanliness arrangements in the bazaar are good. Shahbaz Sharif also visited agri fair price shop in Ramadan Bazaar and appreciated the quality of fruits and vegetables.
