A revamping plan for District Headquarters Hospitals has been finalized : Ali Jaan Khan

Lahore: Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Punjab Ali Jaan Khan has said that a revamping plan for District Headquarters Hospitals has been finalized and in the next fiscal year Rs.100 millions will be spent on each DHQ hospital.

He said this during a surprise visit to the DHQ hospital, Kasur on Friday. Ali Jaan Khan took a round of different wards and enquired about the medical facilities provided by the hospital administration to the patients. He also inspected the cleanliness in the wards and other places. Secretary Health directed the hospital administration for improving the cleanliness standard.

Ali Jaan Khan said that in order to provide healthcare facilities to the people at their door step, DHQ and THQ hospitals are being equipped with modern diagnostic facilities and specialists are being posted in these hospitals. He further said that reforms have been introduced at primary and secondary level hospitals which help reducing work load on the tertiary care hospitals.
